Privacy Policy

SamaSave is an app for organizing paluwagan (rotating savings) groups. This policy explains what information the SamaSave Android app and this website collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, username, password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider), and an optional phone number and profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Organizer profile: if you run groups, the display name, photo or logo, city, province, barangay, contact number, email, Facebook link, introduction and contact hours you choose to show members.
- Group information: group names, rules, contribution amounts, schedules, payout order, item descriptions and item photos.
- Payment records: contributions and payouts you record, the receipt screenshots you upload, payment methods, reference numbers and notes, and any issue you report about a payment or payout.
- Messages and invitations: group chat messages, join requests, and the email addresses or usernames you invite.
- People without the app: organizers can add members who do not use SamaSave by name. Please add someone only with their permission.
Information collected automatically
- Activity records: actions taken in a group (for example, who recorded or confirmed a payment and when), kept so every member can trust the group's history.
- Advertising: the free version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and basic device information to show and measure ads. Where required, the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice later in Profile → Ad privacy choices.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Google Play. We receive whether your subscription is active, never your card or payment details.
SamaSave does not access your contacts, location, or files other than the photos you choose to upload.
How we use your information
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To run your groups: schedules, reminders, payment tracking, payout confirmations and notifications.
- To keep records accurate, prevent misuse and resolve disputes.
- To provide paid plan features and show ads on the free plan.
- To answer your support and privacy requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who can see your information
- Members of your groups see your name, username and photo, and the payment status of your turns. The organizer (and any co-manager) sees the payment details and receipts you submit to that group. A payout recipient sees the receipt the organizer uploads for them.
- People browsing public groups see the group's details and the organizer's public profile.
- Service providers who run SamaSave for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Google (Google Sign-In, AdMob and Google Play billing), and our website host. They process data only to provide their service.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is active. Payment and payout records are part of a shared group history, so they are kept for as long as the group exists, to protect the other members. When you delete your account, we handle your information as described on the Delete Account page.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Receipts and photos are stored privately and are only shown to the people described above, through short-lived links. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to its processing, or withdraw consent. You can edit most details in the app. For anything else, email lonpdzon@gmail.com. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Children
SamaSave is meant for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we will update this page and tell you in the app. The date at the top shows the latest version.
